The Military Avionics Hardware Engineering group has an immediate opportunity for a Sr Avionics Display Engineer. You will be part of a connected, global team of experts innovating and developing Avionic Displays that deliver robust, safe, and high value solutions to our customers. Youll be a critical leader responsible for transforming customer Avionic Display requirements into a new or upgraded product for integration in military aircraft flight deck applications.
Detail job activities include
Developing electronic hardware architectures and estimates that meet internal and external customer specifications for new or enhanced display products.
Developing and maturing new electronic or optical hardware technologies that enhances the products display performance and meets the harsh environmental qualification testing requirements for military applications
Developing hardware solutions and roadmaps to address product long life component issues.
Provide engineering support of labs and dark rooms utilized for testing and developing Avionics Display hardware
Engaging, sharing, and leveraging technology and assets with Honeywell Commercial Avionics Display hardware group
Provide engineering engagement with University partners focused on the advancement of applicable technologies for Avionic Displays
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelors degree in Electrical or Optical Engineering.
5+ years of engineering experience developing Electronic and/or Optical Hardware for Avionics Displays
Experience in developing robust products for harsh military environments
Experience in supporting proposals that provide high value solutions
Strong team leadership and customer focus
Continuous Growth, Innovation, and Engagement in Industry Technical Conferences and Consortiums
Engineering Masters Degree
Current or Previously Held Security Clearance
Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
Strong collaboration skills and ability to engage efficiently across multiple engineering disciplines
Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity
